Spectra is a fully self-directed editorial project in which I developed every phase of the magazine, from initial concept to final layout and material definition.
I defined the theme, editorial direction, and visual concept, establishing the tone and positioning of the publication. From there, I selected the color palette, typographic system, and overall art direction to ensure coherence between content and visual identity.
I designed the complete grid structure, working on hierarchy, rhythm, margins, and white space to create a balanced and readable layout across all spreads. Every compositional decision — from image placement to typographic scale — was intentional and system-based.
All written content was conceived and authored by me, allowing the editorial narrative to evolve organically alongside the visual language. This integration between writing and design ensured consistency in voice, structure, and atmosphere.
I also considered material aspects of the magazine, including format, paper selection, and print behavior, treating the project not only as a visual exercise but as a physical editorial object.
Spectra reflects my comprehensive approach to editorial design: I don’t just design pages — I construct complete publishing systems where concept, content, typography, layout, and materiality work together to build a strong and contemporary identity.
